About this role

From Allstate Insurance Company’s careers page.

At Allstate, great things happen when our people work together to protect families and their belongings from life’s uncertainties. And for more than 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers’ evolving needs. From advocating for seat belts, air bags and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.

Your role in the team

The Allstate Early Career Development Programme is designed to help you launch your career in technology. As a full-time Graduate Product Engineer, you will work directly within an Allstate Technology Solutions team, gaining hands on experience and exposure to high impact projects while helping to solve real business problems using modern technologies.

You will contribute to the development of high quality, scalable applications and systems that deliver value for Allstate and its customers. Working across the full technology stack, you will gain hands on experience with a range of modern technologies and engineering practices, which may include programming languages such as Java, Python and JavaScript, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, DevOps tools, and front-end and back-end development frameworks used to deliver innovative products and solutions for Allstate and its customers.

The ANI Early Careers training programme provides a structured introduction to Allstate, combining onboarding, business awareness and professional skills development. A key focus is building AI literacy from day one, with dedicated sessions on AI fundamentals and practical AI learning, alongside training in communication, resilience, decision making and customer experience. The programme helps graduates build early connections, understand the business and develop the skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven environment. After six months of various learnings online and in person, we ask participants to present their growth journey, reflecting on both their technical achievements and personal development since joining the organisation. Training and development activities during the programme will be delivered in person to provide hands-on learning and networking opportunities.
