QA Engineer

About the role: - Test software applications and systems to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement - Execute test cases manually and document results with precision - Work with developers and product teams to understand requirements and verify functionality - Track and report bugs using tracking systems throughout the development cycle - Participate in quality assurance reviews and contribute to process improvements What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a closely related field - Recent graduate or early-career professional - Demonstrated interest in software testing and quality assurance - Strong academic performance - Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle - Hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies - Basic programming competency in Java - Fundamental grasp of SQL and database concepts - Analytical mindset with the ability to think through problems systematically - Clear communication skills, both written and verbal - Enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies quickly Desirable experience: - Practical work with Selenium for test automation - Familiarity with JIRA for issue and project tracking - Experience using Git for version control - Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman - Relevant certifications or coursework in QA methodologies - Project work or internship experience, particularly involving AI-based testing tools What will help you succeed: - A proactive approach to identifying edge cases and potential failure points - Comfort with picking up unfamiliar testing frameworks and methodologies - Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams - Attention to detail and persistence in reproducing and documenting issues
