Product Design Intern

About the role: - Shape product and web interfaces that reach millions of daily readers across the platform - Design subscription systems, paywalls and user onboarding journeys that generate revenue - Create games, puzzles and interactive features built to increase reader engagement and retention - Take research insights and rough concepts and refine them into polished, ready-to-launch designs - Partner directly with product managers, engineers, editorial staff and growth specialists - Own meaningful projects with visible impact on users from your first week What you'll bring: - A grounded understanding of user experience principles that goes beyond visual design - Fluency with Figma as your primary design tool - Attention to detail about spacing, visual hierarchy and the subtle moments when a design doesn't feel right - Experience or strong interest in designing products for emerging markets and new internet users - Curiosity about how design decisions affect user behavior and business outcomes - Ability to move quickly between ideation and implementation What the work involves: - Wireframing and prototyping user flows across mobile and desktop - Iterating based on feedback from technical and non-technical stakeholders - Conducting design reviews and defending your choices with reasoning - Learning design systems and maintaining consistency across products
