About the role: - Build runtime services powering Amazon Alexa using machine learning and artificial intelligence - Create scalable, self-serve applications for the Alexa, Customer & Technology organization - Work in a small team to shape features, system architecture and technical direction What you'll do: - Design and implement solutions for distributed systems running predictions at scale - Build distributed storage, index and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant and cost-effective - Collaborate across teams to conceive and bring innovative products to market - Develop high-quality software in an agile environment - Tackle broadly defined problems by designing and coding the right solutions What they're looking for: - 2+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship) - Experience programming in at least one software programming language - Strong fundamentals in computer science and practical experience with large-scale distributed systems - Self-starter who can work independently with limited guidance - Track record of delivering valuable software features in fast-paced, iterative environments - Strong communication skills with both technical and business partners - Commitment to teamwork and execution Good to know: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred - Based in Bangalore
