Software Tester

About this role

About the role: - Test and validate software applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met - Work with test management tools to plan, organize, and document testing activities - Log, track, and monitor bugs through defect tracking systems throughout the development cycle - Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, understand root causes, and verify fixes - Design and execute test cases across different scenarios and use cases What you'll work on: - Manual and automated testing of features and functionality - Database queries and validation using SQL - Test execution within Agile sprints and iterative development cycles - Writing clear test documentation and defect reports - Regression testing and smoke testing as part of the release process What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree (B.Sc, B.Tech, or B.E.) in any field, or a postgraduate degree in any specialization - Working knowledge of SQL and databases - Hands-on experience with at least one test management tool - Hands-on experience with at least one defect tracking tool - Proficiency in one or more programming languages - Understanding of SDLC principles and Agile methodology - Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset - Clear communication skills—both written and verbal - Collaborative approach to work with ability to manage your time and organize tasks effectively - Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing approaches - Positive and professional attitude in a team environment
