New Product Development Intern

Batch: 2025/2026/2027/2028. About the role: - Identify and engage suppliers to source product samples, managing timelines to ensure materials arrive when needed - Conduct testing and quality checks on prototypes, deliberately stress-testing to expose weaknesses and uncover improvement opportunities - Investigate customer feedback and product failures to pinpoint root causes and inform design decisions - Create technical specifications and documentation that bridge the gap between sample and production-ready product - Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Quality and vendor teams across the full product development cycle What you'll work on: - Real product launches from initial concept through requirements definition, sample development, testing phases and market readiness - Projects where your contributions are credited and visible, not background support - Hands-on problem-solving that shapes how betterhood's products are built and refined - Direct interaction with cross-functional teams, learning how each function influences the final product What we're looking for: - A STEM degree holder, preferably from a Tier 1 or Tier 1.5 institution - Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and documentation - A natural drive to understand manufacturing processes, material science and failure modes - Self-direction and initiative—you identify what needs doing and move forward without waiting for instructions - Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to dig deep when answers aren't obvious What you'll gain: - Three months embedded in the complete product development lifecycle, from requirements through market launch - Tangible ownership of deliverables and the credibility that comes with shipping real work - Exposure to how vendors operate, how products break down under stress and how to prevent it
