About the role: - Develop and deploy features that span the entire technology stack, from user-facing editor interfaces to backend services - Tackle demanding browser challenges including live collaboration, frame-perfect playback, and handling substantial media files on client devices - Contribute to an AI-powered editing system that enables autonomous agents to make meaningful edits to projects - Maintain system performance and stability across projects of significant scale and complexity What you'll work on: - Full-stack feature ownership from conception through shipping - Frontend development using modern browser APIs and state management patterns - Backend systems and database query optimization - Infrastructure and deployment concerns - Performance profiling and optimization across all layers - Reliability and user experience improvements What we're looking for: - Deep software engineering fundamentals with demonstrated experience delivering complete features independently - Comfort working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure domains without silos - Willingness to engage with complex database queries, worker threads, and intricate browser state management - A genuine focus on code quality, responsiveness, and system efficiency - The ability to identify performance bottlenecks and user experience issues, then resolve them - A preference for working in lean, autonomous environments where you set your own standards Bonus skills: - Background in media handling, video codecs, or similar domains - Experience building real-time synchronization or offline-capable applications - Familiarity with building on large language models
