About the role: - 6-month internship developing features for Carousell's Android app - Work with product managers and designers on new features that support buyer and seller growth - Own projects from design through implementation and deployment What you'll do: - Build features on Android using Kotlin - Improve app performance and reliability alongside other Android engineers - Apply Android design principles to create intuitive user experiences - Write modular, tested code and participate in code reviews - Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity - Collaborate with backend engineers, designers and product teams What they're looking for: - Experience developing Android applications in Kotlin - Track record of shipping stable, performant Android apps end-to-end - Strong Computer Science foundation with knowledge of Android framework, design patterns and best practices - User empathy and focus on impact - Resourcefulness and ability to handle complexity - Good UX sensibility and collaboration skills
