About this role
About the role: - Conduct security assessments and identify vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure - Participate in penetration testing activities and threat analysis exercises - Document security findings and prepare reports on discovered issues - Support the security team in evaluating new tools and methodologies - Collaborate on remediation strategies for identified security gaps What we're looking for: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline - Solid grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals, network security concepts, and application-level security controls - Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, common web application weaknesses, and secure coding best practices - Working familiarity with Linux operating systems, networking protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS - Understanding of how authentication mechanisms, authorization frameworks, access control models, and encryption function - Experience with security assessment methodologies including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and threat modeling - Programming or scripting capability in Python, JavaScript, C/C++, or equivalent languages - Capacity to diagnose security problems, trace root causes, and present findings clearly - Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal abilities - Genuine interest in application security, cloud infrastructure security, and evolving cybersecurity landscapes - Experience in cybersecurity competitions, capture-the-flag events, security lab environments, or industry certifications will strengthen your candidacy Good to know: - This internship offers a potential path to a permanent position (PPO available)
