About the role: - Develop infrastructure and cloud applications that power global internet connectivity - Work on scalable, high-impact systems serving billions of users - Take ownership of projects from technical design through delivery - Lead small-to-medium features independently with minimal supervision What you'll do: - Write, debug, test and troubleshoot code throughout the development lifecycle - Make technical decisions and optimize system designs for scalability - Use AI coding assistants like Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and automate testing - Advocate for new features that address customer needs - Track metrics for product adoption and success - Stay current on industry trends and coach others on software development lifecycle and agile practices What they're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (0 to 4 years experience), or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (0 years experience) - Strong grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms - Proficiency in Java, Python, Golang, C or C++ - Ability to think critically about application scalability and cloud environments - Problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges - Good collaboration and communication skills - Self-motivated with drive to achieve results Good to know: - Experience designing and architecting distributed systems is preferred - Strong emphasis on code quality, security and privacy - Work at Cisco's Bangalore office
