About this role
About the role: - Develop software across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, web/Angular and services - Write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code - Build features and functions independently while receiving some direction and oversight - Participate in applications analysis, design, testing and implementation What you'll do: - Translate technical designs into working code on various development platforms - Solve technical problems using appropriate technologies for small-scale features and components of larger programs - Conduct feasibility studies and provide time and cost estimates for new or revised systems - Engage with digital applications, risk technology, middleware, mainframe and non-mainframe development, analytic models and application support - Consult with users, clients and other technology groups to recommend solutions for customer-facing systems - Learn and understand the functionality, architecture, dependencies and runtime properties of systems - Understand business requirements and customer use cases for your projects - Evaluate system designs and architecture in solution discussions - Build and maintain project schedules accounting for internal and external dependencies, constraints and contingencies - Communicate dependencies clearly to the team - Drive code quality initiatives including unit testing, code performance and CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like SonarQube, Findbugs, RTC, Jenkins and RLM - Improve team processes to accelerate delivery and lower costs - Manage risk appropriately in business decisions with focus on compliance, ethics and controls What they're looking for: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 2-5 years in applications development with demonstrated execution - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, data-driven and results-oriented - Experience running high-traffic distributed cloud-based services - Experience affecting large culture change - Experience leading infrastructure programs - Skilled at working with third-party service providers - Excellent written and oral communication Good to know: - Full-time role based in Chennai - This is a developing professional position with scope to solve complex problems independently
