About the role: - Internship at Consilium Safety Group in data analytics, suited for learners in their penultimate or final year, or recent graduates - You will undertake hands-on analysis and interpretation of company data to support internal decision-making and reporting - Work with structured data stored in relational database systems, applying queries to extract insights and solve business problems What you'll work on: - Building and running SQL queries against relational databases to retrieve, filter, and analyze information - Organizing and documenting datasets, data processes, and analysis outcomes for team reference - Collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver findings - Learning how data translates into actionable business strategy and operational improvements What we're looking for: - Education: You are enrolled in or have finished a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline - Technical foundation: Solid grasp of relational database principles including tables, relationships, primary and foreign keys, and SQL join operations - Programming: Experience with Python or another programming language is valuable, though not a prerequisite - Mindset: Detail-oriented and methodical in your approach to analytical work, with the discipline to maintain accuracy across datasets and documentation - Collaboration: You communicate clearly with colleagues from different backgrounds—both engineers and business teams—and can adapt your explanations accordingly - Learning orientation: You seek to expand your knowledge of emerging tools and technologies, and you are motivated by understanding the real business impact of data work - Work style: Capable of juggling several assignments simultaneously and taking ownership of tasks without constant direction
