QA Engineer

About the role: - Test software across multiple stages of development, from individual components through full system integration - Design comprehensive test cases and scenarios that cover functional requirements, regression paths, and integration points - Execute manual and automated test suites to catch defects early and verify fixes - Document test plans, results, and issues in clear detail for the development team What you'll work on: - Manual testing including functional, regression, and integration test execution - Building and maintaining automated test suites using frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress - API testing and validation using Postman or similar tools - Writing test automation code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or comparable languages - Identifying edge cases and boundary conditions that others might miss - Collaborating with developers and product teams to understand requirements and resolve issues quickly What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field - Strong grasp of software testing principles and quality assurance fundamentals - Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) - Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans - Ability to debug code, analyze failures, and solve problems methodically - Familiarity with version control systems like Git - Basic SQL knowledge and comfort working with databases - Knowledge of programming or scripting in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar - Keen eye for detail with the ability to catch subtle defects - Strong written and verbal communication for working across teams - Comfort operating in a rapid development cycle with shifting priorities - API testing experience with tools such as Postman is a plus - Background with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar is preferred
