Backend Engineer

Batch: 2026,2027. About the role: - This is a remote, work from home position for a candidate with 1 to 2 years of experience. - The team focuses on Generative AI, backend engineering, large language models and retrieval-augmented generation for real-world AI products. What you'll work on: - Building and maintaining backend services using Python along with FastAPI or Flask. - Developing features powered by large language models, including RAG pipelines and conversational AI. - Working with embeddings, vector search and retrieval systems. - Building AI agents and tool-based workflows using frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex. - Working across AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS and API Gateway. - Integrating third-party platforms through REST APIs and webhooks. - Writing tests, monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues across AI and backend systems. - Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to ship features. What we're looking for: - Hands-on experience with Python and generative AI or LLM based development. - Familiarity with RAG and vector search techniques. - Comfort working with AWS cloud services. - Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex. - Knowledge of FastAPI or Flask, REST APIs, and databases or data processing.
