About the role: - Join the backend engineering team to develop and improve production systems supporting Enterpret's AI-driven platform. - Work alongside experienced engineers on real product features, gaining responsibility for designing, implementing and maintaining backend components. What you'll do: - Participate in technical design discussions and contribute ideas about system architecture and implementation. - Develop backend features from initial planning through implementation and production deployment, with engineering guidance. - Build scalable backend components using AWS and serverless computing technologies. - Create proof-of-concept implementations that connect backend services with AI capabilities, including model outputs and real-time inference. - Collaborate with AI and backend engineers to understand how infrastructure supports AI features across the platform. - Investigate bugs, unexpected behaviour and performance problems, then help make existing systems more reliable. - Work with production data, practical engineering constraints and edge cases affecting real customers. What we're looking for: - Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to write code in at least one modern programming language. - Good problem-solving, analytical thinking and debugging skills. - Interest in distributed systems, cloud-based serverless architectures and AI-powered software products. - Curiosity about how backend systems support AI workflows, from model training through live inference. - Willingness to learn from engineering feedback, contribute ideas and take responsibility for assigned work. Good to have: - Previous contributions to open-source software projects. - Practical experience developing backend applications or AI-related projects. Eligibility: - Currently pursuing a Computer Science or Engineering degree at a Tier 1 college. - Must have completed at least one relevant internship involving software engineering, backend development or AI. - Must be available to work in person at the Bengaluru office.
