About this role
About the internship: - This opportunity provides exposure to practical projects involving data processing, web information extraction and machine learning. - Interns will work with datasets and technical methods used to prepare information for ML-related tasks. Responsibilities: - Participate in gathering data for practical project requirements. - Prepare datasets through cleaning and preprocessing activities. - Extract information from websites using appropriate scraping approaches. - Support the development of machine learning models. - Process collected information so that it can be used in technical workflows. Web development knowledge: - Understand HTML and CSS as they relate to webpage structure and content. - Be comfortable working with the Document Object Model. Web scraping requirements: - Know how to extract website data using BeautifulSoup. - Have familiarity with Selenium for browser-based information extraction. - Understand approaches for working with both static and dynamically generated web content. - Be able to make HTTP requests using Requests or HTTPX. - Apply regular expressions when identifying and processing text patterns. Data processing and compliance: - Have knowledge of Pandas and NumPy for cleaning and working with datasets. - Understand robots.txt and relevant website scraping rules. - Be aware of ethical considerations when collecting information from websites.
