Software Tester

About this role

Batch: 2023/2024/2025/2026. About the role: - You'll perform manual testing across multiple product features and modules using established test methodologies - Your responsibilities include designing and writing test cases and scenarios, executing them systematically, and documenting outcomes - You'll conduct functional testing to verify that software behaves as specified, regression testing to catch unintended side effects from code changes, and smoke and sanity testing during initial build verification - You'll test APIs to ensure they integrate correctly and handle requests properly - You'll identify defects, document them clearly with reproduction steps, and track their resolution - You'll work with databases using basic SQL to validate data integrity and query results What we're looking for: - Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) - Ability to analyze requirements, design appropriate tests, and solve testing challenges independently - Attention to detail when preparing test documentation and reporting bugs - Strong logical thinking and problem-solving mindset - Experience or demonstrated knowledge in any combination of manual testing, functional and regression testing, or API testing is valued Good to know: - This is a full-time on-site position at GlowApps Private Limited - We prefer candidates who can join immediately - 0–2 years of experience is ideal for this role
