About the role: - Deploy engineering solutions that connect students with job and internship opportunities at scale - Work across the full technology stack, from frontend interfaces to backend systems, supporting the platform's growth - Collaborate with a distributed team spanning multiple geographies, including engineers based in the United States - Contribute to production systems serving a rapidly scaling user base in a startup environment What you'll work on: - Building and maintaining software that powers customer-facing features and implementation work - Designing and optimizing relational database schemas using PostgreSQL - Developing robust APIs that integrate different parts of the platform - Shipping code to AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure - Implementing containerization, orchestration, and continuous integration systems to streamline deployment - Troubleshooting complex problems in fast-moving, uncertain situations where clarity emerges through iteration What we're looking for: - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience - Proficiency in TypeScript for application development - Strong capabilities in React for building dynamic user interfaces - Demonstrated expertise in modern backend development practices - Solid grasp of relational database design and SQL optimization - Hands-on experience building and supporting software running in production environments - Ability to design and consume APIs effectively - Comfort working in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP - Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly across time zones and cultural contexts - Problem-solving mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity Nice to have: - Background building products that end users interact with directly or supporting customer implementations - Exposure to AI-powered systems or machine learning infrastructure - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration - Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines - Previous role at a startup or organization experiencing rapid growth
