About this role
About the role
- Join Harness as a Security Research Intern and develop your expertise in identifying, analyzing, and documenting security vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
- You will engage in hands-on security research, contribute to threat assessment efforts, and help strengthen our security posture through systematic investigation and documentation of findings.
- The role offers exposure to modern security research methodologies, tools, and real-world vulnerability discovery processes.
What we're looking for
- Early-career candidates who have built demonstrable skills in security research and can show evidence of prior work in the field.
- Portfolio work demonstrating your capabilities: this may include security write-ups, custom tools you've built, bug reports you've filed, CVE disclosures you've contributed to, Capture The Flag (CTF) competition results, adversarial AI red teaming exercises, or published research on your blog.
- When applying, you must submit links to your work—such as your GitHub profile, personal blog, formal research documentation, security tools you've created, bug bounty platform profiles, or CTF competition profiles.
- Applications submitted without supporting links and evidence of your work cannot be properly evaluated and assessed.
Why this matters
- Security research is critical to building trustworthy software; your contributions will directly impact how we identify and mitigate risk.
Note: Applicants must provide links to their work (GitHub, blogs, research write-ups, tools, bug bounty profiles, or CTF profiles) for full evaluation.
