Associate Software Engineer

Batch: 2025/2026. About the role: - Build and maintain backend systems and services that power our platform - Write clean, well-documented code following engineering best practices - Collaborate with teammates on feature development and code reviews - Debug issues, test solutions, and ensure code quality through automated testing - Participate in sprint planning and deliver work within Agile cycles What you'll work on: - Backend development using Python or another server-side programming language - Designing and consuming REST APIs - Writing and optimizing SQL queries against relational databases like PostgreSQL - Setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment - Contributing to cloud-based infrastructure and application improvements - Using version control with Git in team environments What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a closely related field - Graduation from the 2025 or 2026 batch - Hands-on experience with at least one backend programming language, preferably Python - Understanding of core software engineering concepts: data types, data structures, testing strategies, debugging approaches, and documentation - Familiarity with SQL and experience querying databases; PostgreSQL knowledge valued - Knowledge of REST API design and usage patterns - Exposure to web development fundamentals - Basic understanding of cloud technologies and secure coding practices - Basic familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence - Experience using Git and understanding collaborative development workflows - Comfort with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD concepts - Willingness to adopt AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor - Strong written and spoken communication - Genuine curiosity and openness to feedback and continuous learning - Software engineering experience from internships, academic projects, or early professional work
