Software Engineer (Frontend)

About the role: - Create performant web interfaces that users interact with directly, from initial concept to live deployment - Partner with product managers and designers to translate vision into functional features - Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks that slow down the team - Own individual features end-to-end, driving them from idea through to launch - Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers across a range of work, from routine enhancements to architecturally complex problems What you'll work on: - Building with React as your primary framework - Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript and TypeScript code - Crafting semantic HTML and polished CSS that works across devices and browsers - Using Git for version control and managing code quality - Optimizing load times and runtime performance - Solving technical problems creatively and pushing your own boundaries as an engineer What we're looking for: - Minimum 1+ year building frontend applications, ideally at a startup where you wore multiple hats - Fluent in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript - Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles - Practical knowledge of Git workflows - Understanding of performance optimization techniques - A mindset that embraces curiosity and continuous learning - Strong debugging and analytical thinking skills Bonus experience: - Open-source work or published side projects - Familiarity with mobile development or backend systems
