About the role: - Tackle genuine product challenges by converting customer needs into concrete feature specifications - Dive into applied machine learning and large language model techniques, including retrieval-augmented generation, vector embeddings, model assessment, prompt engineering, and retrieval optimization - Co-present with leadership during customer demonstrations to showcase product capabilities - Synthesize feedback from executives and product stakeholders into practical, implementable directions - Design and validate workflows that leverage AI for real-world use cases - Evaluate model performance across accuracy, latency, and operational cost dimensions - Test and evaluate newly emerging AI platforms and tools - Keep pace with developments in AI, machine learning applications, LLM methodologies, and data privacy regulation frameworks What you bring: - Completed hands-on projects, research initiatives, or internship work involving machine learning—classification tasks, named entity recognition, recommendation engines, or production-grade LLM and retrieval-augmented generation implementations - Solid grasp of machine learning theory, model assessment metrics including precision and recall, and data cleaning techniques - Practical experience working with large language models beyond simple chat interfaces, such as constructing RAG systems, working with vector databases and similarity search, model customization through fine-tuning, or building autonomous agent systems - Strong analytical and logical reasoning ability with comfort breaking problems into first principles - Quantitative mindset with strong math foundations - Clear communicator in writing and conversation - Business-oriented perspective with insight into what customers actually need - Self-directed approach and genuine interest in learning new areas - Comfort moving quickly and adjusting course in a dynamic product team
