Associate Software Engineer

About the role: - As an Associate Software Engineer, you'll apply programming fundamentals to build and improve software products, working across the full development lifecycle - You'll write, test and refine code using multiple languages, with a focus on quality and maintainability - Your work will involve designing solutions, implementing features and participating in code reviews alongside experienced engineers What you'll work on: - Building software components using general-purpose programming languages - Writing unit tests and test automation using frameworks like nunit, cppunit, xunit or junit - Designing and implementing solutions that follow object-oriented principles and design patterns - Working with databases, data modelling and SQL in day-to-day tasks - Collaborating in an Agile environment where testing practices are built into every sprint - Learning and applying DevOps concepts including CI/CD pipelines, source control and build automation What we're looking for: - Strong grasp of at least one programming language; proficiency in two or more is a plus - Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis and database concepts - Hands-on experience or coursework with SQL, PL/SQL, C#, C++, Java or JavaScript - Familiarity with at least one unit testing framework - Ability to write clear, maintainable code and take ownership of your work - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related technical field Good to know: - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS strengthens your application - Background in API automation testing or test automation frameworks is valuable - Understanding of OOAD and common design patterns shows readiness to grow - Previous internships or specialized training in programming and testing methodologies will boost your candidature - We value engineers who take ownership, stay curious and actively pursue learning - Whether your focus is on testing and quality or on product development, strong programming skills are essential to succeed here
