About the role: - Shape the complete data infrastructure for an InsurTech startup from its foundation - Architect and expand systems that enable critical insurance operations including underwriting, pricing, and claims processing - Develop robust, scalable pipelines that move and transform data across the platform - Balance hands-on engineering work with architectural oversight and strategic design decisions What you'll work on: - Creating data pipeline architectures that handle high-volume, mission-critical workflows - Building ETL systems that reliably integrate data from multiple sources - Designing infrastructure on AWS that grows smoothly as the business scales - Engineering solutions for distributed data processing and storage - Contributing directly to code while guiding technical direction What we're looking for: - 3 to 10 years of experience in data engineering and infrastructure roles - Proven track record designing and implementing scalable data pipelines in production - Deep knowledge of AWS services and how to leverage them for data workflows - Strong grasp of data architecture principles and how to apply them to complex problems - Hands-on experience building ETL systems and processes - Understanding of distributed systems concepts and their practical applications - Prior work on B2B InsurTech platforms or similar financial services data environments
