About the role: - Build and maintain systems that instrument application behavior at the kernel and runtime levels using eBPF and related technologies - Develop backend services and APIs that power developer tools and testing infrastructure - Design solutions that capture, analyze, and replay application interactions for debugging and testing purposes - Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to ship features that solve real developer pain points What you'll work on: - Low-level systems programming touching kernel internals and observability mechanisms - Full-stack backend development spanning data collection, storage, and query layers - Performance optimization and debugging of complex distributed systems - Automated testing infrastructure and reliability improvements What we're looking for: - Hands-on experience with Linux kernel development or eBPF-based systems - Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles - Proven track record in backend web development and API design - Solid programming ability across multiple languages and paradigms - Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns - Sharp problem-solving skills and ability to think through systems analytically - Comfort working independently on well-defined tasks as well as collaborating closely with teammates - Clear written and verbal communication, especially in async and remote settings - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field Nice to have: - Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test infrastructure
