About this role

About the role: - Build complete features from database schema through API to user-facing interface, owning the full stack end to end - Push code to production multiple times each week, beginning with small incremental changes and progressing to larger scope work - Investigate and resolve production problems using logs, traces and stack traces to find root causes, not temporary fixes - Develop frontend interfaces for the features under your ownership with attention to visual polish, usability, and proper handling of loading, empty and error states - Write test cases designed to catch the specific bugs you're concerned about, not just achieve coverage numbers - Take part in code review as both reviewer and reviewed, providing and receiving critical feedback - Raise questions early and throughout the process; extended silent struggle is the only true failure mode What we're looking for: - 1 to 8 years of full-time software engineering experience - Solid grasp of at least one programming language and its fundamentals - Working understanding of SQL and relational database design - Ability to build interfaces that function well and look reasonably polished - Demonstrated track record of shipping real work: a project with actual users, a significant internship contribution, or an open-source contribution that passed code review - Instinct for debugging: when code fails, you form hypotheses and test them rather than making random changes - Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, along with the ability to read and explain any line they generate
