About this role

About the role: - You will take features from conception to production, owning the complete stack: database schema and queries, backend services and endpoints, and the user-facing interface that calls them - You will deploy changes to production multiple times each week, beginning with small, incremental updates and progressing to larger implementations - When production breaks, you will investigate by examining logs, traces and stack traces to identify root causes, not surface-level fixes - You will build clean, functional frontends for the features you own, with proper handling of loading states, empty states and error states as part of the core work - You will write tests designed to catch the specific bugs you anticipate, not just generic coverage - You will review code written by others and have your own code reviewed regularly, learning from both sides of the process - You will ask questions frequently and early; silent struggle for extended periods is treated as a problem to solve What we're looking for: - 1 to 8 years of full-time software development experience - Deep knowledge of at least one programming language - Solid grasp of SQL and how to design relational data models - Ability to build interfaces that work well and look intentional - A completed project with real users, substantial work done during an internship, or an open-source contribution that passed code review - A methodical approach to debugging: you form theories about what went wrong rather than making random changes - Familiarity with AI coding tools and willingness to explain and take responsibility for any generated code you ship
