About the role: - Build and operate backend systems that power Kirana Club's platform in a production environment - Take ownership of technical decisions and guide the team through trade-offs via documentation and code review - Work across the full stack, moving fluidly between backend and frontend work without depending on specialists - Refine user journeys by identifying friction points and shipping improvements directly What we're looking for: - 2–5 years of hands-on experience building and running production backend systems - Mastery of at least one backend language, with the ability to move across technologies as the problem demands - Deep knowledge of relational database fundamentals: schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization - Practical expertise with message queues, caching layers, and asynchronous workflows - A mindset that catches user experience gaps and acts on them instead of creating tickets - Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools, paired with clear judgment about their strengths and limitations in your workflow - Skill in adapting code review practices and testing strategies as AI tooling evolves
