About this role
About the role: - Build and maintain backend systems and integrations that power SaaS and platform products - Design and implement RESTful APIs that handle complex client workflows - Develop scalable solutions using containerization and cloud infrastructure - Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and clients to ship features end-to-end - Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, tracing requests across microservices, and identifying performance bottlenecks What you'll work on: - Backend development using Python (FastAPI or Django) or Node.js (Express) - Database design and optimization with SQL (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB or Redis), including schema migrations and query performance tuning - Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes or ECS - Deployment pipelines and infrastructure on AWS or GCP - Version control with Git, peer code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions) What we're looking for: - 1–3 years of professional experience building backend or integration solutions - Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js with deep knowledge of framework patterns - Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts and query optimization - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, and at least one major cloud platform - Comfort navigating Git workflows and participating in code review processes - Ability to set up and monitor CI/CD pipelines - Clear communication skills—you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and teammates alike Bonus skills: - Experience with LLM and generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack - Knowledge of vector databases like PGVector or Pinecone - Event-driven systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS - Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi - Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus - Familiarity with security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and secrets management tools (Vault, AWS KMS)
