About this role
About the role: - Support the Business Unit Controller in producing accurate financial reports for London Stock Exchange Group subsidiaries - Report to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Control - Work on month-end close processes and statutory audit completion - Hybrid role based in Bangalore, combining office and remote work - Early UK Business shift: 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM (Sri Lanka Time) What you'll do: - Record transactions accurately according to accounting policies and standards - Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits - Support the tax team during audit processes - Maintain internal controls in line with group policies and financial control framework - Identify and contribute to continuous improvement activities - Meet tight reporting deadlines while ensuring high quality and accuracy What they're looking for: - Pursuing or completed degree in accounting - Part qualification in CA, ACCA or CIMA preferred - Strong understanding of accounting concepts and bookkeeping - Advanced Excel skills with ability to work with sophisticated spreadsheets - Fluent English, both written and spoken - Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy - Ability to work independently and make informed decisions - Strong collaboration and communication skills with global teams - Flexibility to adapt to business priorities and deadlines Good to know: - Experience in audit firms is valued - Familiarity with SAP, Oracle or Oracle Fusion systems is an advantage - You will gain hands-on exposure to ERP systems and tax regulations
