About the role: - Build and maintain backend systems that power Mygate's core services - Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with other components - Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable applications - Debug issues in production and development environments - Write code that is clean, maintainable, and built for scale - Collaborate with team members on design decisions and code reviews What we're looking for: - At least 1+ years of hands-on experience developing backend systems - Strong proficiency in Java for production applications - Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms - Demonstrated ability to work with SQL databases and design schemas - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot - Understanding of how to build and maintain RESTful APIs - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows - Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and securing APIs - Skill in identifying root causes and solving complex problems analytically - Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to other engineers Additional experience: - Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems - Background in software development best practices
