About this role
About the role: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power production environments - Lead the full lifecycle of backend services from requirement analysis and system design through to deployment - Build and optimize REST APIs, working with both SQL and NoSQL databases - Architect solutions using microservices patterns and distributed systems principles - Handle production troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning to ensure system reliability - Take ownership of projects end-to-end, managing scope, quality, and delivery independently What we're looking for: - Minimum 3+ years of hands-on backend software development experience - Expert-level knowledge of Java and Spring Boot - Solid grasp of system design, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming - Proven ability to design and maintain systems that operate reliably at scale - Deep familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS - Working knowledge of deployment, monitoring, debugging, and production optimization techniques - Hands-on experience with distributed systems design and implementation - Ability to work independently and take full ownership of backend development tasks - Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for resolving complex production issues - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization is a plus - Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
