About this role
About the role: - You will participate in the design, build, and testing of robotic systems from concept through working prototypes - Your work involves hands-on assembly, integration, and debugging of mechanical and electrical components - You will contribute to rapid prototyping cycles, moving from CAD designs to physical hardware - Documentation of design decisions, test results, and technical findings will be part of your daily work What you'll work on: - Mechanical design and simulation using CAD tools, with an emphasis on creating functional designs for testing - Building and iterating on physical prototypes, including use of 3D printing for parts and components - Programming microcontrollers and single-board computers to bring robots to life - Troubleshooting hardware failures and electrical issues during development and testing - Integration of sensors, motors, and control systems into cohesive robotic platforms - Testing and validation of prototypes against design specifications What we're looking for: - Currently enrolled in or recently completed an engineering degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline - Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical CAD software and experience with 3D printing workflows - Programming skills in Python or C/C++ - Foundational knowledge of electronics, motor control, sensors, and embedded systems fundamentals - A practical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose and fix hardware issues - Comfort working directly with physical components and a genuine interest in bringing designs off paper - Strong written and spoken communication for explaining technical work and sharing findings with the team Nice to have: - Experience with DYNAMIXEL motors, ROS or ROS 2, or robot simulation software such as MuJoCo - Hands-on work with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms - Familiarity with motor control and servo programming - Prior experience with IMU sensors, encoders, or other standard robotics instrumentation - Portfolio demonstrating 3D printing projects or mechanical prototyping work, and version control using Git or GitHub - Exposure to control theory, forward and inverse kinematics, or robot locomotion concepts What you need to know: - This is an on-site internship requiring presence in Hyderabad
