About the role: - Create and sustain high-frequency automated trading systems with emphasis on dependability, efficiency, and scalability - Refine system speed using sophisticated network and systems programming approaches - Conceive and implement algorithms aimed at reducing latency in trading infrastructure - Construct utilities for managing risk, overseeing system health, and evaluating operational metrics - Champion process automation and eliminate manual workflows through rigorous testing and quality practices - Absorb ad-hoc trading scenarios into the platform to strengthen code reusability and compatibility across multiple exchanges - Mentor the core engineering unit to push technical boundaries and uphold rigorous engineering norms - Approach challenges with intellectual honesty, asking tough questions, owning missteps, and participating openly in technical debate What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from a top-tier university - Between 0 and 3 years in a relevant technical role - Strong C/C++ programming ability with deep grasp of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithmic thinking - Working knowledge of Linux, Python, and shell scripting - Excellent analytical reasoning and ability to communicate technical ideas clearly - Grounding in TCP/IP, Ethernet, and concurrent programming frameworks - Dependable presence and consistent availability - Demonstrated capacity to solve difficult technical problems independently and contribute meaningfully within a team setting - Background in high-frequency trading, hedge funds, or financial institutions is valued About the work: - You will write code that processes millions of transactions per second, where microseconds matter - You'll spend time profiling bottlenecks, tweaking algorithms, and testing edge cases that could affect profitability - Collaboration with traders and quantitative researchers to understand market dynamics and translate them into robust code - Responsibility for ensuring systems stay up and operational through monitoring, logging, and alerting infrastructure - Ownership of changes from design phase through deployment and performance validation
