Backend Intern (Java & Spring Boot)

About the role: - You will assist in building and maintaining backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, working alongside experienced engineers on real production code - Your days will involve designing REST APIs, writing backend logic, and collaborating with the team to solve technical challenges - You'll participate in code reviews, learn industry practices, and contribute to features that power the NxtPe platform What we're looking for: - Strong grasp of Java fundamentals and object-oriented programming principles - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development - Working knowledge of at least one relational or NoSQL database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB - Familiarity with Git version control, API design, and core backend architecture concepts - Ability to debug issues systematically and solve problems with persistence - Portfolio of personal projects, academic work, or prior internship experience that demonstrates your skills Good to know: - Experience with Docker containerization and AWS cloud services will strengthen your application - This internship is an opportunity to work on real systems and grow your backend engineering expertise
