Software Engineer (Java)

About the role: - You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services for production environments - Your work will involve building scalable microservices architectures and integrating systems through well-documented APIs - You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, efficient code - Debugging complex issues and optimizing application performance will be key parts of your day-to-day work What you'll work on: - Developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot frameworks - Building and consuming REST APIs to enable seamless communication between system components - Writing SQL queries and designing database schemas for relational databases - Implementing version control workflows using Git in team settings - Creating algorithms and leveraging data structures to solve technical problems efficiently What we're looking for: - Strong command of Java fundamentals and object-oriented design principles - Demonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and how to apply it - Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational database systems - Familiarity with Git for code version control and collaboration - Strong analytical mindset with ability to debug issues methodically - Problem-solving skills and knowledge of core data structures Additional experience that stands out: - Background with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate ORM frameworks - Experience using Maven or Gradle for project build automation - Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines - Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka for asynchronous communication - Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
