About the role: - Odyssey is hiring Research Engineers to help build general-purpose world models. - The company's systems are intended to learn the dynamics of the world and simulate them interactively in real time. - The research direction includes maintaining useful simulations across long time horizons. What you'll work on: - Turn frontier AI research into models that can actually be shipped. - Work closely with research efforts rather than operating in a separate engineering layer. - Help move experimental ideas toward functioning model systems. - Contribute to the connection between research breakthroughs and product-ready implementations. About the environment: - Odyssey is a small and concentrated research lab. - The team has serious compute available for its work. - Research and product are closely connected without multiple organizational layers between them. - The company considers world models an important next frontier in AI.
