Backend Developer

About the role: - You will build and maintain backend systems that power OLX India's platform - Work on server-side architecture and database design to support millions of users - Develop APIs and services that enable the core marketplace functionality - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers and QA engineers - Contribute to code reviews and help establish best practices within the engineering team What we're looking for: - Strong foundation in backend development with experience in production systems - Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used for server-side development - Understanding of database design, optimization and scaling principles - Problem-solving ability and attention to code quality and reliability - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical ideas clearly - Experience with version control systems and familiarity with software development methodologies About the team: - You will join OLX India's technology team during a period of expansion - Work alongside engineers who are growing the platform to serve more users and use cases - Opportunity to have direct impact on systems used by millions across India
