AI Engineering Intern (+PPO)

About the role: - Develop and optimize computer vision systems including object detection, optical character recognition, multi-object tracking, and video analysis - Build and train machine learning models with a focus on performance enhancement and efficiency - Work on generative AI applications including retrieval-augmented generation, model fine-tuning, embedding generation, and optimized inference - Create agentic AI systems involving autonomous agents, planning mechanisms, memory management, tool integration, and workflow automation - Implement voice AI features spanning automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech synthesis, voice activity detection, and real-time conversational agents - Conduct machine learning research to evaluate novel architectures, run controlled experiments, and advance model performance What you'll need: - Strong foundation in Python programming and machine learning principles - Solid grasp of linear algebra, probability theory, optimization techniques, and neural network fundamentals - Deep understanding of how machine learning architectures function internally - Working knowledge of convolutional neural networks, object detection frameworks, Transformer models, and attention mechanisms - Familiarity with large language model capabilities, fine-tuning approaches, loss function design, and training pipeline construction - Experience with inference optimization and model evaluation methodologies How we work: - You dig into model internals rather than treating frameworks as black boxes; you understand, experiment, troubleshoot, and iterate to improve outcomes - You can articulate your technical decisions, failures encountered during development, and the improvements you made in response - You approach problems with a builder's mindset: hands-on, curious, and driven to create working solutions Good to know: - This role offers a permanent placement opportunity upon successful completion of the internship
