Data Analyst Intern

About the role: - Work with raw datasets to uncover meaningful patterns, trends, and insights that drive decision-making - Construct interactive dashboards and visual reports that communicate findings to stakeholders - Participate in hands-on trial sessions spanning 2–3 days as assigned by the research team - Engage with a wearable health-monitoring device provided by the organization, following instructions during testing phases - Dedicate 4–5 hours daily to structured sessions that combine data work with research activities - Work alongside team members across different functions to understand what data they need and how to deliver it - Transform messy, unstructured data into clean, accurate datasets ready for analysis What you'll need: - Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis - Competence with SQL to query and retrieve data from databases - Strong working knowledge of Excel for calculations, modeling, and quick analysis - Hands-on experience with NumPy and Pandas libraries for numerical and tabular data work - Ability to handle various file formats and manage data workflows - Solid grasp of statistical principles and how they apply to real-world problems - Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data modeling approaches - A bachelor's degree completed in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline It helps if you also have: - Experience building reports in Tableau or Power BI - Visualization skills using Matplotlib or similar libraries - Basic knowledge of Linux environments and command-line operations
