About the role: - Analyze financial data using Python to extract, clean, transform and prepare it for analysis, and build automated workflows - Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, join and aggregate data from databases - Build financial models and dashboards in Excel using formulas, pivot tables and charts - Prepare investment presentations and reports using PowerPoint and Word, or Google Slides and Docs - Research companies and markets using financial databases and investment research tools - Apply AI tools to support coding and analytical work, with careful verification of outputs What we're looking for: - Strong grasp of finance and economics: financial statements, EPS, valuations, inflation, interest rates, money supply, and basic measures of return and risk - Hands-on Python skills for data manipulation and analysis - Ability to write effective SQL queries - Comfort working with spreadsheets and data visualization - Someone who takes initiative and takes ownership of their work - Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy - Flexibility when priorities shift - Genuine interest in investing and how technology shapes finance - Prior experience with financial databases or investment research is a plus
