About the role: - Build and maintain backend systems that power infrastructure for AI agents and next-generation software - Design and develop production-grade APIs and services using modern backend technologies - Work across the full stack of a distributed system, from database design through API implementation to cloud deployment - Debug and resolve issues that span multiple services and systems in a complex architecture - Take ownership of problems end-to-end, moving beyond ticket implementation to drive solutions What you'll work on: - Backend development using Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Java, Python, or equivalent technologies - Database design and optimization with PostgreSQL and Redis - Event-driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and asynchronous processing patterns - Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes - Cloud infrastructure setup and management - API design, REST principles, and HTTP protocol implementation - Authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth and API keys - Implementing webhooks, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and eventual consistency patterns What we're looking for: - 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend systems - Strong computer science fundamentals with a deep interest in how systems operate internally - Hands-on production experience with at least one of the backend technology stacks mentioned - Solid grasp of networking, databases, and distributed systems concepts - Ability to quickly absorb unfamiliar codebases and API specifications - Commitment to writing clear, maintainable code and building reliable production systems - A curious mindset with fast learning ability and comfort tackling ambiguous problems - Excitement about building infrastructure for AI agents and the future of software development
