Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role: - Design, build and maintain backend systems that power mobility and fleet management solutions - Write clean, maintainable code for server-side applications and APIs - Optimize database queries and improve system performance at scale - Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers and other teams to deliver features - Debug production issues and implement fixes in a timely manner - Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices What you'll work on: - Developing microservices and backend infrastructure - Building data pipelines and working with databases - Implementing REST APIs and integrations - Writing unit and integration tests - Monitoring application health and troubleshooting bottlenecks - Contributing to system architecture decisions What helps: - Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills - Experience with one or more backend languages like Python, Java, Go or Node.js - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases - Understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems - Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization tools - Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
