Software Engineering Intern (+PPO)

About the role: - Join Ridecell as a software engineering intern with the opportunity to convert to a full-time position upon successful completion - Work on backend systems and server-side architecture, learning how core infrastructure operates - Contribute to real production code that powers the platform, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise-scale systems - Debug, test, and reason through complex technical challenges under guidance from experienced engineers - Collaborate with a team on projects that require problem-solving and technical depth What we're looking for: - Proficiency in Python with the ability to write code that is clean, readable, and maintainable - Strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) - Problem-solving mindset with genuine interest in working through difficult technical puzzles - Ability to learn new frameworks, languages, and concepts independently and quickly - Comfort with the fundamentals of backend development and curiosity about system design - Communication skills and experience working effectively in team settings - Initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm for technical growth Preferred experience: - Knowledge of REST API design and backend principles - Exposure to Django or other Python web frameworks - Experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL - Familiarity with mobile app development - Portfolio of personal projects, academic work, or open-source contributions
