About the role: - Design and structure Postgres database schemas for application needs - Implement Supabase Row Level Security policies to control data access - Construct authentication systems and server-side functionality using Next.js - Develop APIs with attention to security, comprehensive test coverage, and clear documentation What you'll work on: - Building secure backend systems that handle user data responsibly - Creating robust authentication flows that protect user accounts and sessions - Writing well-tested code that other developers can understand and maintain - Deploying and maintaining live services What we're looking for: - Shipped at least one complete project built with Next.js and React that is deployed and live - Practical experience working with Supabase or Postgres, including Row Level Security implementation and authentication - Daily use of Git with feature branches, organized commits, and thoughtful pull request descriptions - A GitHub profile showing genuine commit history and real development work - Ability to commit 20+ hours per week for the duration of the internship, with no conflicts from exams or placement activities - Willingness to take a written task from start to finish without needing step-by-step guidance - Strong written communication: you provide regular status updates and flag blockers early rather than letting them accumulate
