About the role: - Lead the design and development of robust backend systems handling significant scale - Architect and implement APIs that serve diverse client needs while maintaining consistency and reliability - Optimize database queries and system performance to eliminate bottlenecks in production environments - Oversee asynchronous job processing to ensure timely execution and error handling - Investigate and resolve production issues with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention What we're looking for: - Minimum 4+ years working as a software engineer in professional settings - Demonstrated expertise in designing clear, maintainable APIs - Strong foundation with relational databases and complex query optimization - Proven ability to build and troubleshoot asynchronous processing systems - Track record of diagnosing and fixing production failures - Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in live systems Bonus skills: - Background managing high-volume background job systems - Integration experience with AI services and platforms - Working knowledge of payment processing systems - Hands-on experience with observability tools and monitoring
