Software Engineer Intern

About the role: - You will work on full-stack development projects, taking ownership of features from design through deployment - You will write and maintain both frontend interfaces and backend services, collaborating with the team to ship quality code - You will leverage modern AI tools and code generation to accelerate your work while maintaining code quality and correctness What you'll work on: - Building user-facing applications using React.js on the frontend - Developing server-side logic with Node.js, Python, Java, or comparable technologies - Designing and consuming REST APIs to connect frontend and backend systems - Working with SQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data - Writing clean, well-structured code that demonstrates solid understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles What we're looking for: - Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript - Hands-on experience building with React.js - Backend development background in Node.js, Python, Java, or equivalent - Comfort with REST API design and implementation - Knowledge of SQL databases and how to query and model data - Strong grasp of data structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithmic problem-solving - Experience with Git and GitHub for version control - Ability to work effectively with AI coding assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor - Confidence in reading, understanding, and validating code generated by AI tools - Prior work with LLM or AI APIs considered a bonus - Independent mindset with genuine drive to own projects and see them through to completion
