About the role: - Shure seeks a Software Development Intern to contribute to real-world engineering projects and gain hands-on experience with modern development practices and technologies. - You will work on building and maintaining software systems, applying core computer science concepts to solve practical problems. - The role offers exposure to full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies used in production environments. What you'll work on: - Developing features and components using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Building and integrating REST APIs, working with databases like SQL and document-based systems. - Collaborating on full-stack projects that span frontend and backend systems. - Learning and applying software development principles including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging techniques, and the software development lifecycle. - Gaining exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI concepts and their practical applications in software engineering. - Implementing responsible AI practices, including output validation, hallucination mitigation, and security considerations. - Working with version control systems and continuous integration tools in a team environment. What we're looking for: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a closely related field. - Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging, and the software development lifecycle. - Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Foundation in application development, REST APIs, databases, SQL, and source control systems. - Familiarity with LLMs, Generative AI, and Agentic AI, with awareness of their applications in engineering. - Logical problem-solving ability with capacity to understand systems holistically and pick up new technologies independently. - Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, strong teamwork skills, and openness to constructive feedback. Preferred experience: - Frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar frameworks. - Backend development using Python, Java, Node.js, or Spring Boot. - Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other relational and NoSQL databases. - REST API design, authentication mechanisms, API integration, and application security fundamentals. - Version control platforms including Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. - Continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins. - Cloud platforms and containerization technologies like AWS, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes. - Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool or function calling, AI-agent frameworks, and model evaluation techniques. - Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy, security best practices, hallucination risks, and output validation strategies. - Academic projects, personal portfolio work, internship experiences, or open-source contributions in software development, full-stack engineering, or AI-assisted development.
