About this role
About the role: - Work on backend systems for PulseAI Research, a consumer intelligence platform powered by Smytten. - The internship is paid, but the employer post gives no stipend amount. What you'll work on: - Develop APIs, microservices and asynchronous processes for research and analytics products. - Connect language models, data sources and enterprise applications through AI workflows. - Support RAG, embeddings, retrieval, caching, evaluations and AI safeguards. - Build systems for structured and unstructured information, including surveys, documents and conversations. - Address tenant isolation, access controls, authentication, security and audit records. - Work on queues, retries, scheduling and data lineage with engineering and research teams. What we're looking for: - Pre-final or final-year BE, BTech, ME, MTech, MCA or equivalent students may apply. - Understand algorithms, operating systems, databases and backend development. - Relevant technologies include Python, Java, Go, Node.js, REST or gRPC, SQL and cloud applications. - AI frameworks, distributed systems, Kafka, Redis, containers and cloud platforms are useful additional experience. Good to know: - Availability for a full-time internship lasting four to six months is required. - At least four months is needed for consideration for a possible permanent offer. - Projects, open-source work or earlier internships strengthen an application.
