About the role: - Support the design team in developing educational products that introduce students to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on learning - Contribute to the full product lifecycle from concept through prototyping and refinement - Work with mechanical design principles to create components that are both functional and manufacturable - Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback from educators and learners What you'll work on: - CAD modeling and visualization using AutoCAD, KeyShot, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks - Creating prototypes and evaluating designs across processes including laser cutting, CNC routing, 3D printing, and injection molding - Applying design thinking methodology to solve real-world educational challenges - Exploring how robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and augmented or virtual reality can enhance learning experiences What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in design or a related field - Minimum 6 months of prior internship experience - Solid grasp of design thinking and mechanical design fundamentals - Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and KeyShot - Working fluency in either Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks - Demonstrated interest in STEM education and its real-world impact - Familiarity with prototyping technologies including laser and CNC routing, 3D printing, and injection molding
